Adult Basic Education (ABE) assessments differ from program assessments. Our ABE assessments can be seen as assessments for success. They are designed to assess your skills and help you succeed. They do not affect your ability to enter our ABE programs and begin taking courses. If required, when completed, your assessment will help you succeed by ensuring that you are placed in the course that is right for you. If you have any questions, contact our ABE Student Success Advisor, or our Aboriginal Student Transition Advisor. If you’re ready to book you assessment, call 250.740.6425.
There are a number of ways to prepare for your Adult Basic Education (ABE) placement test:
- meet with our ABE Student Success Advisor, or our Aboriginal Student Transition Advisor
- obtain the study material
- work with a tutor
- access individual help in the ACP Learning Centre
The GED credential is no longer available in BC. Successfully completing the LPI allows you to enter a university of trades program, but it cannot be used towards your adult education diploma.
