Faculty assisting an ACP student

Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Why take ABE classes?

Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses are for adults who want to:

  • complete prerequisite courses needed for further study
  • obtain a BC Adult Graduation Diploma (BCADG or Adult Dogwood)
  • prepare for employment
  • refresh skills and gain confidence for work or further studies
  • reach a personal goal

You can get started on your journey right away. In ABE, self-directed and online classes start every two weeks. Traditional in-person classes start in September, January and April.

Talk to ACP Student Success Advisors to find the best fit for your goals.

If you are a domestic student, you will not pay any tuition or application fees for these courses. Other student fees or textbook costs will apply, but you may be eligible for financial aid to help cover some or all of these costs.
